My Experience

  • Hootsuite

    Software Developer

    January 2025 - Present

    • Re-platformed Google social signup onto Google Identity Services across frontend and backend: server-side token verification passwordless account creation, backend-issued sessions replacing client-submitted passwords, and duplicate-account handling for existing emails, shipped behind a feature flag with staged rollout.
    • Launched a new settings micro-frontend from scratch and migrated multiple micro-frontends off a legacy monolith incrementally behind feature flags, with no user-facing downtime.
    • Established the team’s standard for API data fetching after running comparative spikes on state initialization and error handling; implemented structured request logging in the shared HTTP client and rolled it out across consuming applications
    • Delivered revenue-facing billing flows including additional seat purchasing with post-checkout routing, seat and pricing calculation at payment time, trial-versus-immediate conversion options, and entitlement provisioning for paid add-ons.
    • Modernized a legacy signup codebase by restructuring it into feature-oriented modules, converting JavaScript to TypeScript, and adding shared linting, unused-code detection, and dependency validation to pre-commit and CI.
    • Partnered with security, product, design, and QA to roll out authentication, billing, and navigation changes; owned production issues and SLA-bound escalations for systems shipped.
    • Interviewed candidates, onboarded junior developers, and mentored engineers through pairing and code review; created reusable tooling and conventions that made team practices more consistent.
